We use Royal Mail’s '48hr tracked' service for UK purchases and Royal Mail 'International Tracked'  for overseas orders. 
Orders placed between Monday and Friday (before 1pm GMT) are usually shipped same day.  Any orders made after 1pm will be posted the following day.
